The national team's World Cup-winning player Kildunne stated she is "willing to explore" when asked concerning whether she would join in the suggested breakaway R360.

"This isn't implying that I will join, but I wish to learn about the tournament a little bit more to see if that's an option that I'd like to accept," she shared with a media outlet.

The player was talking at Bracknell Rugby Club to help launch the national governing body's rugby festival weekend.

This program is aimed at securing the heritage of England's World Cup victory.

As the national side engage with clubs across the nation, talk surrounding the prospects of the club rugby in rugby union for men and women refuse to go away, with the R360 breakaway league regularly featured in media.

The press stated on Thursday that Ellie Kildunne is a top target for the new league, and that it had been informed "a significant number" of her England team-mates have already signed initial contracts to participate in R360.

Kildunne is currently signed with club her club, who open the competitive campaign on the scheduled date against Loughborough at the the stadium.

"My focus is solely on the upcoming matches that I've got, and you know recent days has been hectic, so it's hard to look into the distant future - I don't even know what I'll eat for tonight's dinner," continued Kildunne.

"There's going to be lots of investment in the rugby going forward, lots of changes that the public will observe and in my view that is the path that rugby union needs to go.

"We have achieved a significant change and this leads to talking points and disputes.

"This league is at present an idea we are not fully informed about."

Kildunne, the top player, was a key leader of the England women's championship run.

She was a crowd favorite during the competition and scored important points for the national team in both the last-four match over France and final success against Canada.

And her recognition appears to grown afterward.

"The binman approached me on the road as I headed to the car, to congratulate me. And the delivery person when he knocked at the door was like, 'Wow, it is you'," she said.

"In my opinion as a whole, the women's game at this point has a stage that's been accelerated, and we aim to leverage this opportunity to inspire younger girls towards rugby, and to keep on pushing the quantity of people that are engaged with the sport.

"We intend to stay in touch with the next generation and show that they can reach us. We act as examples and they can dream to follow in our footsteps - and you've got to see it to believe it."
