The latest Far Cry instalment that audiences dived into was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito as the bad guy, Antón, and debuted back in October 6, 2021. As a series, it is known for celebrating chaos and mayhem with similar excitement, all while weaving captivating, ideologically themed narratives. No wonder then that the network’s recent announcement for a Far Cry limited-run show attracted two visionaries whose creations have represented all of those elements.

About the Series

Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game property, the short-run anthology series will stream on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The series will also follow the video games' structure by having a different location and ensemble in each season.

Key Producers

Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as lead producers on the series under their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

Upcoming Developments

Mac will also appear in the show, but currently, we are unsure of what role that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just approved for a second instalment, with FX and Disney signing a new comprehensive agreement with the producer.

A schedule for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus globally.
