🔗 Share this article The Streaming Platform is Developing a Popular Game TV Series from the Creators of Alien: Earth and the Comedy Hit. The latest Far Cry instalment that audiences dived into was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito as the bad guy, Antón, and debuted back in October 6, 2021. As a series, it is known for celebrating chaos and mayhem with similar excitement, all while weaving captivating, ideologically themed narratives. No wonder then that the network’s recent announcement for a Far Cry limited-run show attracted two visionaries whose creations have represented all of those elements. About the Series Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game property, the short-run anthology series will stream on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The series will also follow the video games' structure by having a different location and ensemble in each season. Key Producers Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as lead producers on the series under their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. We’ve shared outstanding relationships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a collective six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are overjoyed that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is innovative, gripping, and wildly entertaining. We also want to appreciate our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this beloved property.” Upcoming Developments Mac will also appear in the show, but currently, we are unsure of what role that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just approved for a second instalment, with FX and Disney signing a new comprehensive agreement with the producer. “Being able to collaborate alongside Noah Hawley is a goal achieved,” stated Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been incredibly accommodating, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game realms ever created. And throughout this process, my FX partners always encourages me with their constant trust and support.” “What appeals to me about the Far Cry game franchise is that it’s an anthology-style show. Each game is a variation of a idea, the same way every run of Fargo is a adaptation on a premise,” said Hawley. “To develop a big action show that can shift from season to season, while always examining the essence of society through this complex and turbulent perspective, is a long-held aspiration. I’m excited to collaborate with Rob and bring our mutual irreverent, daring style to the screen.” A schedule for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus globally.
